It snowed a lot in Glasgow over the last ten days. It’s also very, very cold. The River Kelvin, which is just round the corner from where I live, has frozen over.
This is the Kibble Palace glass house in the Botanic Gardens with the afternoon sun lighting it up.
Apart from the glasshouse it looks very similar to Transylvania 🙂
Yes, I’ve noticed that Transylvanian glasshouses tend towards the more rectilinear construction…
But Glasgow is up near the Arctic circle innit
You have a point, James. Sharp, incisive observation as usual.
Lovely and northern and calling my name!!
Yes Hoff! Don your crampons and cold foot it to the frozen north sometime soon.
Like the photo of the kibble.Better than the one the evening times staff photographer took recently. bob
Thanks Bob. I can only aspire to the dizzy heights of photographic omnipotence that yourself and Alex achieve with casual frequency. You get good or great photos if you’re in a good or great place at the right time, I feel. With today’s cameras you have to try quite hard to take duff pictures.
